This really is a good news. I think the art circles of Chicago will turn over a new leaf. In addition, we will have more fun in theater.

Chicago bravely struggle with the mother nature. The turbulent winter storm has surrendered the city of Chicago. "Every Chicago resident should brace for a storm that will be remember for a long time" said Jose Santiago, head of the Chicago office of Emergency management and communications. "This storm will task the City's resources and test the patience Chicago residents". For the first time since 1999, Chicago Public Scholl canceled classes. Because of the storm has to be close O’Hare and Midway. Airport crews work hard to take it out all the snows. Also, the Gov. Quinn, send more than 500 Illinois National Guardsmen to assist stranded motorists throughout the state. Lake Shore drive and business have been closed. Most people complain about sow money, snow problem.

By Wednesday morning, when the blizzard’s limited the vision the neighborhoods came back to life. The neighbors checked on neighbors. Offers of assistance and help each other.

While I was reading Red Eye I found one positive story about snowstorm. About potential love connection.
Some people met in public transportations people they liked and just couldn’t forget them. And still trying to find those people with different ways. For example: "You were sitting on the North Ave bus with your buddy coming back from Whole Foods and being hilarious, giddy, and cute from the snow," reads one post from a so-called 25-year-old Humboldt Park man. "You sang songs and talked in funny voices that made me laugh and we talked about getting drunk on snowy days."
Another post from a male Brown Line rider reads: "I showed you where to avoid the snow in your face at the Diversey Brown Line stop and told you how long it would be for the train... Wish we could have braved the elements and grabbed some Starbucks!"
The train lines are no surprise – Belmont on the Red, Purple and Brown lines was found to be most romantic CTA stop last year, according to a Craigslist study of missed connections postings. Craigslist ranked the top 10 most romantic CTA station but didn't categorize bus lines. I couldn’t even imagine that so many love stories happen in public transportation.
From February 1-6, the No.50-Damen bus garnered three missed connections, which is a lot for a bus line, especially for a route that saw 2.8 million riders last year. Some buses saw more than twice that rider-ship last year.
But my favorite post was from one young man: "You were the girl with the pastel hat, glasses, and a paisley bag. I was the boy by the door in a black coat and glasses, fruitlessly trying to read 'Sons and Lovers,'" read one posting last week by a Damen bus male rider. "I thought you were cute. I wanted to say hello, but it's hard to be charming on an overcrowded bus."

*My opinion:

I found this story very romantic. I'm happy that some people still believe in love at first sight. Even at the bus stop you can find your love, not only somewhere at the bar or club. I hope that all of those people, who are looking for people they met just once, will find them and will make nice couples.

An over whelming majority of residents think the city did a good job responding to the storm, according to a Tribune/WGN poll. In fact, when it came the storm´s most conspicuous consequence the hundreds of vehicles snowbound along Lake Shore Drive, respondents were more likely to blame the stranded drivers than the city. Only 20 percent of respondents blamed the city for the debacle, while 29 percent blamed the drivers themeselves. Even more 40 percent said neither the city nor drivers were at fault, suggesting that the snow itself was the culprit.

According to the articule, I think everybody had not fault about the consequences of the blizzard, because neither the Departament of the Streets and Sanitation nor the drivers have control of the weather.

Summary of the article: Last week the worst blizzard in nearly 45 years pimmeled the Chicago area. All city

My opinion: I have never seen the snow that like last week. We got many toubles because the all city services

stoped. We couldn't go to school, couldn't go to market. We stayed at home almost two days. Fortunately, all

One year ago, over 1000 workers were quit by the financial condition. Now, over a half of the laid-off workers found the new job. Richard Garrett was a senior CTA bus driver. He has been laid-off for the last year, but he has not found a job yet, because he always expecting to recall. His wife who is a dialysis patient and his has a hardship life, even he couldn't afford to repair the bills. The CTA said, they have recalled 547 laid-off workers, so far. Next week, 14 laid-off workesr would be recall.

*My opinion:
This action from the CTA that would help many family be better. They provide the chance to the laid-off workers. At the same time, the employees will be work hard and treasure the new job. The fanacial issues are slowly being better, some of agencies need to the more employees with working.

Now, he is still waiting. Last week on the worst blizzard's day, he just used space heaters and the kitchen stove to warm the house. Because his furnace is broken, he cannot afford to repair it.

We all have hear about a Blizzard Warning. At 3pm on Tuesday the blizzard start to kick into effect. The wind that accompany the blizzard was so strong. The estimate was 16"- 20 inches of snow. The magnitude of this snowstorm in Chicago was the great storm back in Jan 26-27, 1967. Over the course of 35 hours of snow fell on Chicago. The city was paralyzing for days. Hundreds of stalled vehicles including 800 CTA were helpless in the street, dozens died. In the last 124 years. Chicago has been hit with 41 winter storms. According to the National Weather Services the top 5 storms was in Jan 26-27 1967 with 23.0 inches - Jan 1-3, 1999 21.6 with inches - March 25-26 1930 with 19.2 inches - Jan 13-14 1979 with 18.8 inches and March 7-8 1931 with 16.2 inches. Incredible right!! The Chicago Streets Sanitation Commissioner said that they have 274 trucks to be deploy and also they are prepared if the need to contacted any other private contractor if need it. The president of CTA said that they will be running on normal schedule. The Interim CEO Terry Mazany said that all parents should been checking the school districts website if their any changes.

Opinion:
By reading this article it give me some information that i didn't know. Also to see how Chicago is getting ready to the storms is perfect. We need to listen or watch any type of news to have a update of what it going on outside.

Some fans thought it was right to fire him, some thought it was wrong.

I agree with what another manager (Guy Cesario) said. He said, “Good salesmen are so hard to find. To put somebody’s livelihood in jeopardy because of a tie is just idiotic.” I also think it is not necessary to fire a worker for just small things. But, the salesman (Stone) was also wrong in this case because his manager (Roberts) told him to remove the tie five times before he was fired. A worker should listen to his boss.

Bayers teach the people to gain muscle for hokey playing . He says, amateur should focus on

their main muscles. 36 muscles in the midsection of human body must be strong to play hockey

properly. People don’t need so much muscles to play hockey. He said, People always think that

hockey player must have big muscles that isn’t true. People in the first year of hockey playing,

they always will feel sore on their whole body.

One of the hokey player Hedry takes off for three or four week before starting his training.

He lifts weight to regain his muscles because he lost some muscle in season. He prefer to work

out for his whole body.

6 My opinion

If some body want to play hockey who will need to workout constantly. Having big muscles are

not necessary. Being fast more important than having big muscles. Hockey player usually don’t

work out in their season because playing games are enough for them but, after season finishes

they start work out again to regain their muscles.

The article is about adult guy who every time while visiting his parents at Pittsburg feels like "obedient teenager". A 40 year man was found beaten to dead monday in morgan park. There was a six day span between morgan park homicide and the homicide before it, a 24 year old man shot to dead in west pullman Jan. 18 . Nineteen homicides have been recordered so far this month, Redaye date shows. Twenty homicides were logged in january last year, RedEye determineted.

My opinion:
Even though we are getting down the homicides since last year, this is something frustated for the society nowadays. Im so concerned about all that is happening in our world. We have been destroyed little by little where we live, what we are. I do not know how people can kill other people. We, as a society, need to do something to stop all bad things such homicides and delinquency.We have to realized that we are getting hurt by ourselves.

Emmanuel Proposes Red Line expansion

Chicago mayoral candidate Rahm Emmanuel on Thursday said his first transportation priority is an expansion of CTA's Red Line, "the backbone" of the city's rail system. He wants to secure federal funding to rebuild deteriorating tracks south to 95th Street, extend the line to 130th and renovate and modernize lines north of Belmont.

In my opion, expanding the Red Line of the CTA can be done but it will require millions of dollars and lot of people will suffer because many stations will be closed. Rahm Emmanuel's ideas is a good one.

January of of last year the earthquake devastated Haiti. The earthquake destroyed people's

homes ,busniesses and everything." Before the earthquake I sold spaghetti and some other food

My opinion: After I read this article,I recall the earthquake that happend in WenChuan of China.

It almost destroyed everything of WenChuan, nothing was still stand. However people did not

give up, since that people have been rebuilding the new WenChuan. The earthquake can destroy

our homes, but it can not destroy our spirit.

After two decade a woman was arrested for abducting a 19 days old baby from the New York City hospital. Ann Pettway, 49 years old is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for federal kidnapping charges. Carlina White was only 19 years old when she was taken to Bridgeport, where she was raised as Nejdra Nance. Since Carlina White was a teenager she had doubts about Pettway her "birth mother. Carlina has always search for things that they could had in common but they didn't have nothing in common. As an adult she started to called Center for Missing and Exploited Children when she saw her baby picture of Carlina White on their file, which she could see her resemblance on those baby pictures that was taken by her Connecticut family. Carlina White was reunited with her parents after a DNA test was done confirmed her identity. Pettway is in custody. On Monday she will face kidnapping charges.

Personal Opinion:
I think Carlina White follow her hurt. She was able to solve her kidnapping case. I so happy for her now that she is with her family. By review this article Ann Pettway destroyed Carlina family for 23 years she need to be punish of what she did.
