A man was shot to death as he tried to help a woman being robbed of her purse on the West Side on Monday evening,police say. The victim name is Bobby Butler who was shot in the abdomen before 6 p.m. Bobby was pronounced dead at 7:55 p.m.

Bobby Butler had come to aid of a 26 year old woman who was being robbed at gunpoint. A man about 25-30 years old who threatened her with a gun.Bobby saw what was going on, came up to the robber, try to stop him, but robber shot him, and then ran away.woman was unharmed, police said.

In my opinion

Bobby should not help her. He could call police. It was just purse and some money. why did he ruin his life for helping someone, tip for death? It is so sad. Maybe a robber didn't know what he was doing. the robber thought he may get out of this criminal. But his choice was totally wrong. So please be carefull when you do something like this! thank you
