4. Title of the article Packers tie gets salesman fired

5. A summary of the article

The car dealership’s general manager (Jerry Roberts) fired a salesman (John C. Stone) because he wore a Packers necktie to work. The Chicago Bears football team lost to the Green Bay Packers the day before the salesman was fired. The fans of the Bears and Green Bay Packers had different views about it. Some fans thought it was right to fire him, some thought it was wrong.

6. Your opinion about the article

I agree with what another manager (Guy Cesario) said. He said, “Good salesmen are so hard to find. To put somebody’s livelihood in jeopardy because of a tie is just idiotic.” I also think it is not necessary to fire a worker for just small things. But, the salesman (Stone) was also wrong in this case because his manager (Roberts) told him to remove the tie five times before he was fired. A worker should listen to his boss.

  1. I so agree with you. To fire a coworker because of a tie it doesn't make sense. I think work is work and personally things are separated from work we don't have to take it to personal.

  2. I also agree with you.The boss needs to pay more attention on worker's attitude for the job. Not just a tie.
